Built by a tradesman

I've done the quotes at the kitchen table too.

I'm Callum. I've been on the tools since I was 16, plumbing and heating mostly, and I was a Gas Safe engineer. I've run a trades business with vans, a team of lads and an office, so I know where the admin piles up. Now I come out to trades in person. On a content day I film and photograph the work, and that goes on your website and your socials.

Roofers first, across Manchester, Bolton, Stockport, Cheshire and the North West. Plumbers, sparks, builders and other businesses welcome.

The first job I can show you is just below. After that, the evenings I used to lose.

Proof over promises

My first job: D & P Roofing.

Roofers and builders near Bolton, with 30 years on the tools and 5.0 from 142 reviews on Which?. Their old site didn't show their Which? score. As my first case study, I researched their local competitors and rebuilt it free to beat them. This is where I started.

Out-of-hours replies for emergency leak calls, which they asked for. No results to show yet. I'll publish real numbers when there are some.

That site is the shop window. The next part is the evenings around the work, which is where I used to lose the time.

Last night, 22:41

You're good at the work. It's everything around it.

Calls missed while you're up a ladder. Quotes that sit for days. Chasing, rebooking, and paperwork at the kitchen table. That's where the evenings go.

Where it gets stuckWhat it costs youThe evidence
Calls missed while you're on a job
The customer rings the next firm.
A third of micro businesses failed to answer incoming calls, and 69% of callers who reached voicemail hung up without leaving a message. Moneypenny, 2016
Quotes take days to go out
The job goes to whoever gets back first.
Firms that replied to an enquiry within an hour were nearly 7 times as likely to get a proper conversation with the customer as those that replied an hour later. Harvard Business Review, 2011
Quotes go quiet
Work you've already priced never gets booked.
I couldn't find a figure I trust for this one, so I won't quote one.
Chasing payment
Hours on the phone, and cash tied up.
Late payments close 38 UK businesses every day and cost the economy almost 11 billion pounds a year. UK Government, July 2026
Invoices done on a Sunday
Your weekend, or your partner's.
No figure for this one. You'll know if it's you.
Asking for reviews
Happy customers never leave one.
83% of people who were asked to leave a review went on to leave one. BrightLocal, 2026 (US survey)

If that is your week, the next part puts your own numbers on it.

Tap the one that sounds like you. I'll show you what I'd set up, what you'd do, and which plan it sits on.

Not a trade?

I started with trades because that's where I come from. The same systems work in any business that takes enquiries, books work or sends invoices: offices, clinics, salons, agencies. Book the free 30 minutes and I'll look at yours.

Fair questions.

Do I need to be good with computers?

No. I set it all up and show you how it works. Most of it runs without you touching anything, and the bits that need you come to your phone.

Will I keep my phone number?

Yes. The number on your van, your cards and Google stays exactly the same.

Will customers know it isn't me?

It is upfront that it isn't you, and only says what you've approved. Prices and anything odd come to you first. You try it on your own phone before it goes live.

What if it says something wrong?

You agree the wording before anything goes live, and anything unusual, like prices or discounts, comes to you first. Every message is logged, so you can check it any time.

When do I get the website?

Handed over from day one if you pay upfront, or after your 12th monthly payment: a full copy of the files and code, or the site moved into an account in your name. If you stop the monthly payments before the 12th, the site comes offline. The domain name is in your name either way. Hosting and care is a separate monthly service you can cancel any month. Missed calls texted back, the chat box and review requests run on a monthly plan. What that covers, and the price, are agreed on your free call and put in writing before I start. I don't set a minimum term on this page.

It's just you. What if you're ill or on holiday?

Everything I build runs on its own, with backups in place, so it keeps working whether I'm at my desk or not. My own business runs the same way, so bookings and messages don't stop when I'm away.

What does it cost?

Fixed setup plus a simple monthly plan, priced on your free call. The first conversation is free. I don't publish plan prices on this site.

What about my customers' details?

They stay in the apps you already use: your phone, email, calendar and job software. I only use what I need to set things up and fix them. Read how I handle data.

Six parts, in three plans.

Missed calls texted back, a chat box on your site, old quotes followed up, reviews and aftercare, a simple referral ask, and reminders that bring last year's work back. Foundation, Growth and Autopilot are how those parts are grouped. Fixed setup plus a simple monthly plan, priced on your call. Handed over from day one if you pay upfront, or after your 12th monthly payment: a full copy of the files and code, or the site moved into an account in your name. The system runs on the monthly plan.
