A barn can make a wonderful home, but the building you see isn't always the building you can get permission for.
Before you buy, find out whether the barn can be converted under permitted development or will need full planning permission, and whether there are any bat or bird surveys needed. Check access, drainage and how services will reach the building.
Look closely at the structure. Old walls and roofs can hide problems that add time to the build. A short visit from an architect and a structural engineer before you commit can save a lot of worry later.
We're happy to look at a barn with you before you make an offer.
